About Corgis

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are low set sturdily built and strong dogs. They are a breed of substance.
A healthy weight for males is approximately 25-35lbs, for females it’s around 20-30lbs.
The  Pembroke Welsh Corgis can come in a variety of colours with or without white markings.
Temperament/Character
Pembroke Welsh Corgis were originally used as sheep/cattle herders and guardians of the home. They are loyal, playful and love their family.
Corgis are dependable and very fun loving. They do well with other dogs, pets and children they have been raised with. They exhibit an expression of interest, intelligence and animation.
They also excel in agility, obedience and are good working and therapy dogs
Corgis and their coat
Pembroke Welsh Corgis have a double coat. The outer coat is long, course and straight with longer thicker hair around the neck, chest and shoulders.
The weather resistant undercoat is short and thick which is why they can live or play outside all day.
It is good to groom them everyday with a firm bristle brush. Keep bathing to a minimum.
Corgis are happy and fun
People enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of their Corgis. Pembroke Welsh Corgis thrive with a plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
They are relatively sensitive and you can easily hurt their feelings so be kind and patient in disciplining them.
Corgis learn quickly and praise brings them a long way.
